SET's high-hazard Remediation Team chemically stabilizes reactive compounds once they have been remotely opened, using acid-base neutralization, oxidation-reduction, or hydrolysis, followed by necessary re-inhibiting with agents such as hydroquinone or butylated hydroxytoluene to ensure safe transport for disposal.
