High-Hazard Remediation

SET Environmental provides proven and effective High-Hazard Remediation Services for customers nationwide. Our highly trained personnel use our specially designed technical procedures and equipment honed over the last 25 years — essentially making your high-hazard situation a routine project.

Our Stabilization Procedures
SET employs a combination of chemical engineering and hands-on experience when managing a vast range of high-hazard remediation issues, including the remote opening of pressurized cylinders and containers as well as on-site stabilization of potentially explosive chemicals. While many other environmental firms refuse to handle highly hazardous chemicals, we pride ourselves on meeting the challenges set forth by these unique opportunities. SET's high-hazard Remediation Team chemically stabilizes reactive compounds once they have been remotely opened, using acid-base neutralization, oxidation-reduction, or hydrolysis, followed by necessary re-inhibiting with agents such as hydroquinone or butylated hydroxytoluene to ensure safe transport for disposal.
